The topography of this lovely national park is characterized by open grassland, baobab trees, seasonal marshes, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests frequently congregate along the river. The fringe-eared oryx and the strange-looking gerenuk might even be visible. Buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests also live in Tarangire, and are constantly pursued by a variety of predators, including lions. Your safari vehicle has an open roof, making it the ideal viewing platform for taking in the scenery and wildlife. Late in the afternoon, you will leave the park and travel to the Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, where you will spend the night.
