2 Day Tarangire Safari tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arusha to Tarangire:

Start your journey at 8:30 AM from your Arusha hotel to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch for a full day of exciting wildlife viewing. Tarangire, Tanzania's third-largest National Park, is famous for its magnificent baobab trees that tower over the animals below. The park is centered around the Tarangire River, known for its large herds of elephants. You'll encounter a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other animals like lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra. After the game drive, head back to your camp or lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 2 - Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 Hours) to Arusha:

Prepare for an early start on the last day of your safari. After a quick breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest inactive volcanic caldera globally, covering about 260 square kilometers with depths of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers abundant wildlife sightings, including African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool before starting the ascent out of the crater. This marks the end of your safari, with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. By 6:00 PM, you'll be dropped off at your chosen Arusha location, concluding your safari with incredible experiences and cherished memories.
