4 Day Safari and Mount Oldonyo Lengai trek Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha - Serengeti National Park
Embark on your exhilarating safari adventure as the day breaks, with our team picking you up from your Arusha hotel. Our journey will lead us to the Serengeti National Park, a sprawling expanse located approximately 240 kilometers away, which entails a roughly 6-hour drive. Serengeti, aptly named "endless plains," showcases an expansive landscape where the grasslands stretch to meet the sky on the distant horizon. As we traverse the Serengeti, you will have the opportunity to witness the renowned "Big 5" animals: elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, and leopards. In addition to these iconic creatures, you'll also encounter the elegant Impalas and a plethora of other wildlife. The central region, known as the Seronera area, is a prime spot for lion and wildlife sightings due to the presence of the Seronera River, offering a vital water source for the park's inhabitants. This area acts as a veritable wildlife hotspot. Don't forget to keep an eye out for the distinctive Serengeti "Kopjes," large rock formations amid the grasslands, which provide shelter to numerous plants and animals. As we traverse this captivating landscape, a picnic lunch will be served. The day concludes with a hearty dinner and a comfortable night's stay at the Nyani Campsite.
