Day 01: Arrival
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or a nearby airport, our office representatives will warmly welcome you. You'll then be privately transported to a hotel in Moshi town, where you can relax, have dinner, and spend the night.
Day 02: Kilimanjaro Climbing, Gear Check
In the morning, our professional mountain guide and crew will meet you at the hotel. They will provide a brief orientation and inspect your climbing gear and equipment. Afterward, you'll embark on a one-hour drive from Moshi to Kilimanjaro National Park's Machame gate, passing through local villages on the mountain's lower slopes. At the gate, you'll complete registration, including providing your name, nationality, and passport number. While registration is underway, porters will be organizing and weighing the luggage. You'll have some free time to take photos and read about Kilimanjaro's history on information boards.
Once the processes are complete, you'll begin your hike towards the first checkpoint, Machame Camp, where you'll spend the rest of the day for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay. The distance from Machame gate to Machame Camp hut is 11 km, which can take up to 5 hours to hike through the mountain's rainforest.
Day 03: From Machame Camp to Shira Camp
After having breakfast at Machame Camp, you'll continue your ascent to the next camp. This leg of the journey takes you out of the rainforest and into the moorland vegetation. You'll cross numerous streams and traverse a rocky ridge leading to the Shira Plateau, where you'll find Shira Camp at an elevation of 3,840 meters. You'll spend the remaining time of the day resting, having dinner, and staying overnight.
Day 04: From Shira Camp to Barranco Camp, via Lava Tower
Following breakfast at Shira Camp, you'll ascend to Barranco Campsite, passing through moorland, semi-desert, and rocky landscapes. You'll break for lunch at Lava Tower (4,630 meters) before descending to the camp at 3,950 meters. At this point, climbers may experience the effects of high altitude such as headaches and shortness of breath. At Barranco Camp, you'll rest, have dinner, and spend the night.
Day 05: From Barranco Camp to Barafu Base Camp via Karanga Valley Camp (Summit Overnight)
After breakfast at Barranco Camp, the trail continues to Karanga Valley, crossing ridges and valleys. At Karanga Camp, you'll pause for a hot lunch before continuing the hike to Barafu Base Camp. At Barafu Camp, you'll have dinner and go to sleep early because you'll be awakened around 1:00 am for the summit attempt.
The guide will prepare you for the summit, providing appropriate gear and warm clothing suitable for temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius. After preparations, the guide will lead you on the hike to the summit, passing through Stella Point (5,685 meters) and reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters).
Day 06:
The morning of the sixth day may find you at Uhuru Peak if the weather is favorable. You'll have the opportunity to spend a few minutes at the top, capturing stunning photos of the sunrise, sipping tea from your thermal bottle, and then descending to Barafu Camp. At Barafu Camp, you'll have time to rest before continuing the descent to Millennium/Mweka Camp for lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 07 (Final Day of the Tour): From Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
On the last day of your journey, in the morning, you'll pack your belongings as you prepare to exit the park. The crew will organize and pack up everything, marking the end of the tour. There will be singing, celebrations, and congratulations for your successful climb. Afterward, you'll hike down to Mweka Gate, where you'll sign out and receive certificates for those who successfully reached the summit. A one-hour drive from the gate will take you to a hotel in town, where you can rest and prepare for your next activities.
In the evening, your safari guide will visit you at the hotel to provide a briefing on the upcoming safari. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions and express your interests for the safari experience.
Safari Itinerary (Accommodation: Standard lodge/tent camping):
Day 8: Lake Manyara/Tarangire National Park
You can choose between a game drive in either Lake Manyara or Tarangire National Park. After a full day of game driving, you'll exit the park in the evening and head to Mto wa Mbu town for rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 9: From Mto wa Mbu Town to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at your hotel, your safari driver-guide will be ready to start a drive to Ngorongoro National Park. You'll spend some time at the Ngorongoro main entrance gate for registration and payment. You'll start a game drive at the rim of the Crater before descending into the Crater to explore its diverse wildlife and natural beauty. In the Crater, you'll observe various bird species, hippo pools, herds of wildebeest, lions, zebras, buffalos, and black rhinos in their natural habitat. Lunch will be at a picnic site near a large hippo pool, with restroom facilities available. After exploring the Crater, you'll leave and head back up, exiting the park and driving to Moshi/Arusha for rest, dinner, or departure.
