Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. This exceptional park is known for its picturesque landscape, including the Tarangire River and low-lying hills. The park's diverse vegetation consists of acacia woodland, African Baobab trees, and a swamp area in the south. Tarangire's permanent water sources, such as the river and swamps, attract a wide variety of wildlife. Look forward to encountering elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, warthogs, baboons, and monkeys. Additionally, the park is home to rare species like the Greater Kudu, Fringed-Eared Oryx, and Ash Stalling. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and various birds of prey. Enjoy a sunset drive to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge, with a stop at Lake Manyara viewpoint for breathtaking views. Overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge in Karatu town or similar. All meals included.
Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro highlands and register at the gate. Marvel at the awe-inspiring view of the Crater floor from the viewpoint before descending 600 meters into the crater for a full day of game driving. Ngorongoro Crater is often called the "Eden of Africa" due to its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Encounter a variety of large mammals and plains animals in this natural wildlife sanctuary. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor while observing herds of wildebeest, eland, zebras, hippos, African elephants, and gazelles. The crater is also home to a dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard. Visit Lake Magadi, where large flocks of flamingos, aquatic birds, and hippos can be spotted. In the late afternoon, drive back to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley. This evergreen park features diverse habitats that support a wide range of animal species, including the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara. Look out for giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalos, leopards, hyenas, and more. After exploring the park, drive back to Arusha, with the option to visit Mto wa Mbu or a Maasai market along the way.
