Day One: From Moshi, Arusha, or the airport, you'll embark on a morning journey to Tarangire National Park and explore its vast landscapes filled with abandoned termite mounds and ancient baobab trees. Witness the awe-inspiring herds of African elephants dominating the golden savannah, while the captivating yellow collared lovebirds fill the air with their melodious calls. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons. Your first night will be spent at the Fanaka Camp, offering comprehensive camping facilities and a delightful dinner.
Day Two: After a satisfying breakfast in Mto wa Mbu, we'll head towards Serengeti National Park. Along the way, there's a chance to encounter wildlife as we pass by the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. The Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and most visited national park, is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its annual migration of herds and thriving wildlife population are renowned. We'll enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the rock outcroppings called kopjes and continue our game drive deeper into the park. Our accommodation for the night will be at Serengeti Camp, providing comprehensive camping facilities and a delicious meal.
Day Three: An early morning game drive awaits in the central Serengeti as we savor the vibrant landscape illuminated by the rising sun. The air fills with birdsong, and your guide will track predators by studying their footprints on the ground. We'll then proceed to the Simba campsite near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll be provided with a satisfying dinner and comfortable camping facilities.
Day Four: Today, we'll experience the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater, known for its effortless game viewing. The crater's high walls keep most animals within its boundaries, making it an ideal place to spot all members of the famous "Big Five" in just one day. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch inside the crater and marvel at its diverse wildlife, including hyenas, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and an array of water birds. Your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the animals, vegetation, and hidden gems. Fanaka Camp will offer excellent camping facilities for the night.
Day Five: As we leave Ngorongoro behind, we'll venture to the picturesque Lake Manyara National Park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This park boasts a stunning and varied landscape, from rainforests to the Soda Lake and savannah plains. Enjoy a pleasant picnic lunch within the park while taking in the beauty of its diverse ecosystem. With over 400 bird species, including migratory birds, Lake Manyara is a paradise for birdwatchers. Look out for the famous tree-climbing lions, as well as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and hippos. In the late afternoon, we'll make our way back to Moshi, and arrangements for transportation to the airport can be made upon request.
