Day 1 - Arusha to Tarangire
Pick up at 8:30am from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Tanzania's third largest national park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park, famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you can see lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, buffalo, oryx, antelope, giraffe and zebra. Post the safari, you will return to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
Day 2 - Tarangire to Central Serengeti
After finishing a hearty breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park and travel amid the endless flat grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon safari on the endless Serengeti plains for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle or a pride of lions resting in the shade. A picnic lunch will be served during the full day tour. The busy day comes to an end with a hearty dinner and a good night's rest at your accommodation.
Day 3 - Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Later, departure to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. The Ngorongoro crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with troughs, is home to some 30,000 animals. The busy day comes to an end with a hearty dinner and a good night's rest at your accommodation.
Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start. Ending with a quick breakfast, you will descend early around 6:30am towards the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unfilled, intact, inactive volcanic caldera in the world. It has a massive floor of about 260 square kilometers with a depth of more than 2,000 feet. The 5 hour safari on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. It is definitely recommended to have your camera ready. African elephant, buffalo, black rhino, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs and lions are found in abundance. Post picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo Pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the upper exit of the crater. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4-hour drive to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha at 6:00 PM in the evening. With an incredible experience and a lot of memories to cherish, now is the time to say goodbye to his team.
