Day 0: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport, we will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha city for an overnight stay.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
After breakfast at your Arusha hotel, we will pick you up at 8:00 am and embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Spend the entire day on an exhilarating game drive, exploring the park's diverse wildlife. Later, we will drive you to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Tarangire National Park, located 115km from Arusha, spans an area of 2800 square kilometers and is known for its abundant elephant population, climbing tree pythons, and iconic baobab trees. Lions, leopards, and various other animals also call this park their home.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Full Day
Rise early at around 6:30 am for breakfast before heading to the majestic Ngorongoro Crater. Witness the incredible sight of the Big Five as you explore the crater floor, accompanied by a wide array of bird species. Look out for the black rhino, a highlight of the crater. Enjoy your lunch amidst the stunning natural surroundings and witness the mesmerizing spectacle of flamingos in high concentrations. With a full day dedicated to exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, you'll have ample time to appreciate its astounding beauty. Formed by a massive volcanic explosion and collapse millions of years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater is celebrated as one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders. After an unforgettable experience, we'll drive you to Kisimangeda Tented Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Eyasi - Cultural Interaction
Following breakfast, we will embark on a rugged journey to Lake Eyasi, another breathtaking soda lake in the Rift Valley. In the afternoon, engage in a captivating cultural interaction with the Tatoga tribe, guided by a knowledgeable local guide. Explore the dry and rugged landscapes on foot, where the Hadzabe or Watindiga tribe, a small group of bushmen, still reside. Experience their ancient hunting and gathering traditions, reminiscent of survival techniques from 10,000 years ago. Another intriguing tribe in the area is the Datoga, also known as the Barabaig or Mang'ati, who historically had disputes over grazing land with the Maasai tribe.
Day 4: Lake Eyasi - Lake Manyara
Start the day early with a hunting tour alongside the bushmen, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, we depart for Lake Manyara, where a thrilling full-day game drive awaits you. Within the park, observe the famed tree-climbing lions and marvel at the abundance of flamingos attracted to the lake's algae. Visit a hot spring and have the opportunity to explore the unique Maasai boma, where you can learn about their culture and traditions. Later, we'll drive you back to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay, concluding this remarkable safari adventure.
