Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania:
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our team will provide a private transfer to the African Tulip hotel in Arusha, where you'll have the day to relax. In the evening, we'll gather at the hotel for a pre-safari briefing and equipment check. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the African Tulip Hotel, including breakfast and dinner.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park:
Today, we embark on our journey to Serengeti National Park, with a chance to visit Olduvai Gorge on the way. This site holds significant archaeological discoveries dating back 2.5 million years. After lunch, we delve into the Serengeti, spending the afternoon observing the rich wildlife in this expansive landscape. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration or encounter resident animals like giraffes, buffalo, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Return to our exclusive tented camp for a briefing on the upcoming balloon safari. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp on a full board basis.
Day 3: Serengeti Balloon Ride and Game Drive in the Park:
An early morning pickup takes you to the Serengeti Balloon Safaris launch site. The balloon flight offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti and the annual wildebeest migration. Afterward, you'll continue with a full-day game drive. Breakfast will be served, followed by a rendezvous with your driver-guide for more game viewing. Return to Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp for dinner and an overnight stay on a full board basis.
Day 4: En-Route Game Drive Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater:
Start your day with an early game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This unique area is co-managed by both wildlife and the local Maasai people. As you journey through Ngorongoro, glimpse the Maasai way of life. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural haven for diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and possibly leopards. Giraffes are the only notable absence due to the crater's steep sides. In the late afternoon, return to your special tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileen's Tree Inn Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 5: Game Drive in Lake Manyara National Park:
Set off from your tented lodge to explore Lake Manyara National Park, known for its rich biodiversity. This small park encompasses Lake Manyara, offering picturesque views of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this diverse landscape, which includes open grasslands, hot springs, dense woodlands, and steep mountainsides. With over 350 bird species, Lake Manyara is a birding paradise. After lunch, drive to Arusha for accommodation or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your journey home.
