Private and comfy - You will go in a private 4 x 4 safari Land Cruiser with panoramic roof thatch window seats for everyone, escorted by a skilled local safari driver guide who will locate all of the animals on your list, large and small. You'll also have a personal chef who will prepare all of your meals and set up your tents, ensuring a stress-free safari with no worries about where to sleep, what to eat, or anything else.
If you have any favorites that you'd want to see again, please stop by the kitchen. Tents, beds, pillows, chairs, and tables are provided; however, we urge that you bring your own sleeping bag.
You may still hire them in Arusha at a reasonable price if you pay for them all at once for the duration of your trip. You'll spend the night at a public campground, where restroom facilities are shared with other campers.

4 Days Tanzania Camping Safari itinerary
Day 0: Arrival Day
Distance: 30/50 km
Our safari manager will meet you at the Kilimanjaro international airport/Arusha airport and transport you to Planet Lodge in Arusha. After checking in, you will receive a comprehensive safari briefing before being left to rest and enjoy Arusha's pleasant ambiance.
Planet Lodge in Arusha is where you'll spend the night. Breakfast is included in the price.
Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara – Lake Eyasi
Distance: 120 km
2 to 3 hours for non-game viewing.
Following your lodge's breakfast, Back to Africa safaris' driver, guide, and chef will greet you in the lobby, and you will begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive via Arusha city. Manyara Park is situated in Tanzania's most stunning wildlife location, with a massive shallow salt lake occupying about two-thirds of the park and lying at the base of the Great Rift Valley's Western escapement.
The park's diverse habitats attract a wide range of animal species, including herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, warthog, African elephant, the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions, and endless numbers of flamingos drawn to the lake's green algae. There will be a packed lunch available.
In the afternoon drive across the Great East African Rift Valley where you can stop for some nice picture of Lake Manyara & its forest before start your way to Lake Eyasi.
On arrival at Lake Eyasi you will visit the Datoga tribe who are “blacksmith”, accompanied by local guide you will go around their homes to experience their livelihood & meet members of the family & kids. Later you will visit the blacksmith & after is a sunset walk at the Lake shore before going to your Campsite for dinner & overnight.

Day 2: Lake Eyasi – Serengeti National park
Distance: 175 km
Non-game-viewing time: 3 to 4 hours
On this day, short Tanzania camping safaris take you hunting with bushmen in the early morning, as well as a brief lesson in survival skills. The bushmen of Lake Eyasi are separated into tiny groups called Hadzabe, Tindiga, and Datoga, who hunt with bows and arrows and eat roots and wild fruits in the same way as humans did in the Stone Age.
After that, you'll return to the campground for a full breakfast before embarking for Serengeti National Park. The drive will take you through stunning high-lying farmland of Karatu, up to the Ngorongoro main gate, and over the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park (2,300 m). From the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you'll stop at the Crater view point for some spectacular photos of the Ngorongoro Crater floor.
Then drive down to the heart of “The wild Africa” Serengeti National Park with its endless rolling plains. You can have your packed lunch at Naabi Hill Gate or at the kopjes (rocky outcropping) before starting your en-route game drive toward the central Park area called Soronera. Sunset game drives while searching for Wildebeest Migration (if will be packed in Serengeti). Late afternoon drive to your campsite for dinner & overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Distance: 145 km
Non game viewing time: 2 to 4 hours.
The 3rd day of your short Tanzania camping safaris we take you for an early morning game drive inn the serengeti starts at 06:30. You will spend much time in Serengeti before driving to Ngorongoro with en-route game drive. Morning game drive in Serengeti can allow you to spot cat family on the road as they avoid the morning mist. You can as well see other predators coming back from their long night of hunting or a group of lioness organizing morning ambush and other animals waking up ready to start their new day.
If the Wildebeest Migration will be in Serengeti you will go straight to where they are & spend much time with the herds before starting your en-route game drive toward Ngorongoro highlands. (Option) Masai village visit on your way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (extra cost $30 per car), reach Ngorongoro Conservation Area for sunset watch dinner & overnight.
Overnight at Simba Public Campsite at the Crater rim. All meal included.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Distance: 215 km
Non game viewing time: 2 to 4 hrs.
As early as 06:30 you will ascending 600 meters into the Crater floor for great game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is believed to be one of the nature wonders of the world. Supported by yearly around water supply and fodder the Crater supports variety of wildlife which include herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, warthog, hippos, African elephant & the rare black Rhino. This is among few places in the world where you can find black rhino in their natural habitats.
Another draw card in this picturesque Crater is the dense population of predators which include lion, cheetah, Jackals, hyenas & the mysterious leopard that needs a binoculars eye to spot. You will also visit Lake Magadi larger but shallow salt Lake at the the southwest corner of the crater floor frequently visited by hippos, flocks of flamingos & other aquatic birds. After picnic lunch more game drive before starting your way back to Arusha for overnight or drop off at Kilimanjaro international airport for late flight. (Accommodation on this day can be included upon request at extra cost).
