Our Founder’s Story
From medical school dreams to purpose-driven safaris
Travel Wise Safari was born out of resilience and a love for the community. Our founder, Bruno, began building this company after having to step away from medical school due to family issues. Refusing to give up on a life of service, he volunteered across different sectors, including cultural tourism, where he discovered how travel can change lives—both for guests and for local communities.
That path led Bruno to Osiligi Orphanage (Osiligi Children Foundation) in Arusha. “I love kids; I love being around them,” he says—and it shows. While volunteering there, he started shaping the idea for a safari company that could fund opportunities, protect wildlife, and host guests with genuine Tanzanian warmth. That idea became Travel Wise Safari. Today, our team has grown to over 12 professionals in the office, supported by a trusted network of driver-guides, mountain crews, and partners across Tanzania—all united by a simple promise: to host every guest the way we welcome friends.
